Crew Profiles: 
CAPTAIN: John Georgas
John was born 1980, in the USA. He came to Greece at the age of 7 and has lived in Athens ever since. 
He started sailing in small dinghies at the age of 8 and in the following years participated in various sailing races and regattas of national and international level with excellent results. He has been a member of the Greek national Sailing team for more than 5 years.
John has also worked as a Professional Skipper on offshore Racing Sailboats, International Delivery skipper for Princess Yachts (2005-2011), a Sailing instructor (1998-2008), Captain on the Motor yachts "Touchdown", "Tools" and "Blue My Mind". During the winter seasons John has worked in the Merchant Marine Industry as a Marine Superintendent onboard Oil and Chemical tankers for Elmira Tankers and Blue Sea Shipping Monaco.
John has graduated from Nautical high school for the proficiency of Merchant Marine deck officer and is holder of Yacht Master Offshore commercially endorsed licenses for both Sailing and Motor driven vessels. He also holds Certificates for First Aid, Passenger Safety, Security officer, Life Saving and Fire fighting, public responsibilities as per STCW. requirements and speaks fluent English and Greek.
John is single and his hobby is sailing.

FIRST MATE: Panagiotis Stathatos
Panagiotis was born 1983 in Patras Greece. After high school he attended and gratuated from the Mechant Marine Academy of Mixaniona (Thessaloniki) and holds a Second officers unrestricted and master up to 500 GT license. He has worked onboard Merchant Marine vessels (large ferry and container) before he started working onboard pleasure yachts. He has worked onboard the luxury charter yacht "Blue Belle" and on the private 27m Technomar Velvet "Vevekos".
Panagiotis speaks english, he is single and his favorite hobby is football.

ENGINEER: Nikolas Sideris
Nickolas was born 1985 in Piraeus Greece. He has been sailing in various types of dinghies from a young age with successful results in many national and international regattas. 
He started his professional carrier onboard the 80ft Swan NAZCA and continued on the unique custom built Swan POLITROPON II. For the last 2 years before joining M/Y Project Steel he has been working onboard the 45m Perini Navi FIVEA.
Nick has studies in the fields of Marine engines as well as Electronics. He also has valid certificates for Life Saving and Fire Fighting, Personal Survival Techniques, Survival Craft and speaks fluent English and Greek.
Nick is single and his Hobbies except for sailing are surfing, windsurfing, fishing, scuba diving, music and travelling.

CHEF: Myrto LazarI
Myrto was born in May of 1986 on the Island of Lefkada. She graduated from the University of Athens and holds a bachelors degree in Psychology.
For the last 9 years Myrto has followed her two passions, the sea and the kitchen, by working onboard Sail and Motor Yachts as a Stewardess and chef in Greece and the Caribbean. She has finished the “Chef de Cuisine “2 year course at the well recognized Le Monde Institute of Hotel and Tourism Studies. She has also participated in additional Culinary Courses and Seminars in Pastry, Sushi, Fine Wines, molecular gastronomy and many more. She also holds all necessary certification as per STCW including Safety, Fire Fighting and first aid training. Myrto is a pleasant personality, always smiling and is known for her attention to detail and continuous efforts for satisfying her guests.On her free time Myrto enjoys Sailing, diving, biking, reading and of course cooking!


STEWARDESS: Elina Klapsi
Elina grew up in a seaside southern suburb of Athens and it’s no wonder she formed a connection to the sea since childhood. After obtaining a Master’s Degree in Finance from Portsmouth University UK and working for over a year in Germany, her love for people and sea prevailed, leading her two years ago to her decision to turn to what she loves most – offering hospitality at sea. With a genuinely pleasant character, Elina is actually serving her passion through her job and guests appreciate her for being competent to meet their expectations of excellent hospitality. And since just like love, hospitality also goes through the stomach, Elina’s cooking skills are her wild card making guests truly enjoy their stay. She has a sailing license and a Divemaster certificate in diving. Her passion is cooking, diving and sailing.
She speaks Greek, English and German.

He has Joined yachting in 2013 of full time professional experience working on board private and charter yachts.
He holds a license as a skipper and his big love is sailing.He has many technical skills, and is a hardworking, energetic and enthusiastic member of the team.
Thomas speaks English, he is single and his favorite hobby is fishing.
