Captain/Chef: Tyler Dunn
Tylers southern charm and hospitality will make you feel right at home as soon as you step aboard Playtime. An athlete, his aquatic adventures began at Camp Merrie-Woode, where he grew up kayaking and rafting the many lakes and white-water rivers that the North Carolina mountains have to offer. At the age of 10, Tyler became scuba certified. He played varsity college lacrosse, and graduated with a degree in Outdoor Experiential Education from Appalachian State University. After college, he pursed his dream to live on the ocean by moving to Key Largo, FL, where he began his professional diving career. He not only became an accomplished scuba dive instructor but also a master captain with a 50- ton license. The charter industry allows Tyler to share what he is passionate about on a daily basis with families and friends like yours. While on charter, Tyler will impart his knowledge of sailing, diving and cooking. His interests only begin on the water, as he is amazing in the galley. You will hear him whistling away while he cooks up a scrumptious dish for everyone to enjoy after a day in the sun and water.
Captain/Chef: Kelsey Dunn
Kelsey is a caring person with a fun-loving, positive spirit. In college she played on the Queens University Division 1 Womens Hockey Team in Ontario, Canada. She graduated with honors, with a BS in Environmental Science. While obtaining her degree, she had the opportunity to dive with sharks in the Bahamas, and she has been hooked on diving ever since. Kelseys dive experience ranges from Lake Ontario to the Florida Keys, where she relocated after graduation, to the Caribbean. She is an accomplished scuba dive instructor and loves to share her knowledge of diving and marine life with others. Her skills below water only rival her skills above water. Kelsey is a master captain with a 100-ton license. She has sailed on Lake Champlain, up and down the east coast of the Atlantic, as well as throughout the Virgin Islands. Her expertise and knowledge of sailing will put you at ease while she is at the helm.
Tyler and Kelsey have a shared history and passion for life and this has bound them together for over six years. They have recently been married and are excited to share with you their passion for cooking, sailing and diving in the beautiful Caribbean islands.
